Not only is the walkway and retaining wall beautiful, he pays attention to practical issues like water runoff and impact to surrounding structures. Houzz has a big problem - deliveries. 2 separate orders arrived damaged. They also arrived very late - delaying my project and costing me money. They refunded for one damaged vanity - but not another. To add insult to injury - I found both exact same products (and I mean, exact - same packaging, same brand) - locally, for substantially less. Not to mention the delivery was professional and with no damage - unlike Houzz. Stay away - you can do better.

We had a fantastic experience working with Northern Construction Tile (Hector and Marco). They helped us sort through the many porcelain slabs available to choose the best one for our kitchen remodel. They quoted us a very compatible price for the product, delivery and installment of our new kitchen counter tops. They delivered on time and did a fantastic job installing it. Placed an order with Houzz and was immediately charged for the product. No problem so far. But then Houzz discovered that their supplier did not have the product available. This raises a couple of questions about their service. 1. Why was the item marked "Not currently available"? Most reputable web sites do this. 2. Why was the charge made before Houzz could determine that the item was indeed available for shipping? I think I'll pass up this site on future orders.
I came on Houzz.com to buy 8 white exterior wall lights & so the price added up significantly. I went looking online for a coupon code to try to save a little money on them. I easily found some codes & I chose one for a $40 discount. And, surprise, it worked. Yay. Everything was easy to find and easy to do. And it looks like I'll have my lights in about 6 days or so. Houzz.com is a great site.
I did research, looking for exterior wall lights that were white, dusk-to-dawn, facing downward (not up), metal (not plastic), & take actual light bulbs (not Integrated LED lights built into the fixture). This combination of features was really difficult to find -- but I found only one model that fit. Two online sites had the same light. It was $9 cheaper at Houzz.com, so I chose Houzz.

I first made contact with Dreamstyle because of FB add. Made an appointment and had the work and cost discussed. My wife has Multiple Sclerosis and has difficulty bathing with a bath tub. We came to an agreement on the work to be done and chose what we needed and price from their many options. Joseph Thomas and Will Holt did the work in less than eight hours, were curious, informative, and willing to let me observe the progress. The work was excellent, done professionally and as promised. My wife and I love our new shower and life for her now is much easier.
Quality products. Excellent variety & choices from which to select. Ordered 2 different bocce ball sets which arrived in less than 2 weeks~ great styling, stellar quality. At that same time, ordered 2 maple croquet sets for 8 ~ finally arrived 6 weeks after the other pieces. Shipping label was created 1 week prior to being picked up + cc charged 3 weeks before that so paid for 5 weeks before delivery!

Quick and efficient with applying for the Houzz Credit Card and being approved. However, the temporary account link to make a purchase would not download into my my Apple Wallet and I needed assistance to make sure the 12 month 0.00% free financing was applied to my purchase because it did not show at checkout. When I called the 800 number listed for customer service the call would not go pass "press 1 to continue in English" once I pressed 1. So, I will have to keep trying to reach customer services.
Great selection - I literally just did a pivot from pottery barn to houzz and purchased 2 bedside stands! I'm so glad i checked out houzz before making the purchase at pottery barn. Love the reviews with pictures - that really helped to make an informed decision on this purchase. I worked in the field of website usability for many years and I find the houzz website easy to navigate. The search brings back very relevant results which I truly appreciate. Beautiful product, great price category and the ability to use Afterpay are all major points for me to continue coming back. Most unnecessary confusing terminology I have encountered. The item's description is described as being a "left" swinging wall mounted reading light. When the customer looks at the photo the "left" swinging hinge is on the right. The company's explanation?! You have to think of yourself as standing behind the object. From the sales visit to installation of my new windows, it was a great experience. Vince, my salesman, spent time going over the product available and answered every question. Not my first rodeo buying windows so I actually purchased on quality of the windows and the way the company does business.
The two installers were polite, answered my questions as well and did a beautiful clean-up during and after the install. I definitely will recommend Morgan Exteriors and will use them again for future work.
I bought a sample. It was delivered quickly. I liked it very much. So, I am now placing an order for $1500. Only issue: the Fedex driver insists on leaving the packages at the curb instead of driving to the door where it won't be stolen. It would take him 1 extra minute to do so and there is a huge area for him to turn his truck around. I will request that my latest order be shipped by UPS, if possible.
Houzz had the product I was looking for (marble baseboard) and the quality was impressive. I also had an issue with a prior order (which was really an issue with the Fedex driver), and Houzz was quick and effective in resolving it. It saved me a lot of time. Thank you. This is my 3rd order in a week and my experience has been even better than with Amazon, which is the gold standard.

I like the website and a choices that it offers. Several things, however, should be improved. For instance, many items show only 1 picture and it seems impossible to order a sample. I can't buy 50 sq ft to get my hands on a sample. Result: no purchase. It's unfortunate for both buyer and seller.
To select several products for a large restoration project. I ordered 2 samples but could not consider 2 other products since I could not order samples.
Tony (Anthony) was wonderful - my husband broke one of the pendant lights that we bought from Houzz and it showed out of stock. He looked into it and spoke with the supplier and was able to update the stock. After he did that someone else bought the light. Then I spoke with Jose who followed through and personally called me to let me know the light was back in stock online. Awesome customer service!

Looking for specific item.
I called customer service prior to placing an order for an expensive leather couch and loveseat to see if they had stock, and would ship as it stated on web site by January. The representative was very patient, and answered all my questions assuring me that there were 20 couches in stock to be shipped within state I live. Very happy with the information. Thank you!
Had the products I wanted in stock, and within my state to be shipped by the date stated when I paid for the items. Happy with that right now, and hope the couch and loveseat are as nice as in the pics.
Fairly easy site to use however when forwarding a link to an item you are following by email - the link does not return you to the specific item but rather the start of your general search for say ottomans- rather than the specific ottoman that caught your eye. This means you have to wade through what may be several pages of options before you again find the item you were interested in the first time. This problem should be corrected for a good online shopping experience. Thanks
Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Avoid them. They are frauds, they Dont provide what you purchase and then don't respond to emails in an effort to rectify their errors
NO, apparently not. We are a Professional, with Houzz.com for over 7 years. They've completely changed now that they basically sell furniture. There is NO customer service. They renewed our contract without telling us, then said we would have to pay a 4 month penalty to cancel the contract we did not sign! We've had a bad review written on ANOTHER contractor, not our company, not our project, and we can't get a phone call or an email response to try and get it taken off. I will have to cancel my credit card with Houzz in order to cancel them and never do business with them again. We received 3 leads, average, per month. We pay $375 a month. Houzz.com is a SCAM. Beware.
