Try new recipes together, help your child learn cooking skills, and explore different cultures by taking culinary classes at home. With cooking at home happening more often now, what better time to get your kids cooking up some tasty meals or scrumptious desserts with the help of lessons and kits. Using these resources to have fun cooking with your kids might just teach you a thing or two as well. Katie Bethea, Director of Community at popular kids cooking club Raddish Kids, shared with us what makes cooking with your kids so special:
“The kitchen is the perfect place to cultivate academic skills like math, science, geography, culture, reading, among other subjects outside of the traditional classroom.”

Raddish Kids teaches kids how to cook at home. Raddish Kids is a monthly “cooking class” subscription that includes three recipe guides, a kitchen experiment or craft, three culinary skill lessons, and a grocery list in each box. Food ingredients are not included in the kit. Director of Community, Katie Bethea, explains:
“Raddish kits weave in many other classroom subjects alongside key culinary skills that nourish the mind, expand the palate, and empower kids in the kitchen and beyond.”
Age Range: Grades K - 9th+
At Sprouts Cooking Club, kids 6-15 years old can learn to cook alongside professional chefs during a 2-hour live online cooking class. Equipment and ingredient lists are sent before the class, so your little chef will be ready to learn fun things, cook with some top chefs, and create a delicious meal or dessert!
