Upwork has provided reliable and professional source of talent to meet my business needs. For short term and even long term requirements, I have always found amazing talents to work on my processes.

Of course this is no miracle solution. The key is meticulously reviewing and interviewing freelancers to best suit your business principles. It's the same with regular hiring. Upwork just makes it easier and faster.

I am on upwork for the last 8+ years as freelancer. Doing a job is good to get regular earnings but could not help you to become rich or get full reward of your hard-work. Upwork is good for skilled and experienced professionals around the world especially from under developed countries to sell their services on good rate remotely and get full reward of their work. If you know what you are doing then you should join upwork and earn some extra money.

Being a freelancer i tried several platforms but did'nt got success then finally when i started working on upwork i feel so good that its beyond my expectations, their criteria is so good that you never experience scam on this platform because of their policies, and their dispute option is just awesome means even if you frustrate from any client then they will help freelancers to get the reward if they worked well with client. So I highly recommend to all freelancers to use upwork platform for better earnings.

Beware, it's not what you think, even paying $200/hr there are no guarantees, if freelancer problems arise you better hope they were from last week. Remedy for contracts are limited to a very narrow window, even if the contract is still ongoing. You know the contractor that takes 1/2 up front and never finishes the job? Yea, upwork breeds them. And there's nothing you can do.

I've always wanted to test my skills with a global clientele. Actually had a few opportunities but it wasn't enough. I needed more. I tried other platforms but the best so far was Upwork. The process works, the support was great and more importantly, both parties[Me the professional and the client], it was a seamless and remote-work easy experience. I've learnt quite a lot and while competition is stiff, for a talented person like me, there are still chances.

They are the biggest scam ever! I opened an account and within minutes it got closed then I got a strange email saying I broke terms and conditions, when I hadn't even bought anything and had never used their site before!

I've made numerous reviews on trustpilot where Upwork uses a loophole in trustpilot to get the reviews taken down! They are scammers and don't care because if they did they would change their polices not have my negative reviews removed!

While it did take time to establish myself on Upwork (almost a year), I find it to be a solid freelancer site with plenty of opportunity. It has nice features like payment protection through Escrow, Talent Specialist coaching, and the time tracker tool.

An area for improvement is the steep service fee (20% for the first $500 per client, 10% thereafter). I think fees for this service should be in the 7-8% range, especially with the financial toll of the pandemic hitting hard this year.

My time on UpWork freelancing as a graphic designer has been nothing short of incredible. It's allowed me to take on a plethora of projects, and expand my creative capacities in more ways than I thought possible. Recently, I was promoted to a Top-Rated freelancer as recognized by UpWork, through my commitment to providing quality service and helping clients achieve their design dreams.

I have been working as a freelancer in Upwork for about 2 years and I believe it is the greatest platform of all freelancer market places. Recently, they updated policy and it's innovative and very helpful. If you believe that you have skills in programming and are going to start your individual business as a freelancer then don't hesitate to choose Upwork as a first option. As we know, there are many market places for freelancers and almost are rusty but it is not. Totally recommend.

Even though there are bad clients but most of the clients I faced are good people. You have to be a very serious and professional freelancer to be successful here. If you complete your project in a timely manner and with accuracy, there will be lots of work with repeat clients.

Ive been using Upwork for a very long time and work with many freelancers at once. One of them made a massive charge on our account and will not pay us back. Upwork won't do anything about it. This is really wrong and unethical. Upwork doesnt really have your back when something like this happens... I'd rather trust other services...

I was scammed by a dishonest agent and paid $500 for nothing. After 2 months of waiting, the freelancer I hired finally declared that he wasn't able to deliver the work and didn't want to issue a refund. I asked for Upwork's help, and after 3 week of back and forth Upwork finally told me: Due to no agreement reached within the timeline given, the dispute and ticket is closed. You have the option to pursue the case independently outside Upwork"

This is basically called a robbery. Please all be aware that your payments are absolutely NOT protected on Upwork.

I'm a new freelancer on Upwork platform and my feedback is as follows:
- It has potential clients
- Contract assignment and the follow up is so handy
- Interface is very clean, easy and user-friendly

These above mentioned methods provided me finding reliable clients and boosted my self-esteem in terms of working on this platform. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I decided to believe in freelancing and turned to the best service in my opinion. During the first week I received my first order from a large baby food company.
I realized that my skills are useful and I can earn money from anywhere. Upwork is an excellent platform where I was able to prove myself as a professional on the world stage.

Many times I do the work, spending my time and resources - but client take results and escape without payment under upwork protection,
Upwork never listens to reports about suspicius hirers, even allow them return their deposite.
It's just wasting time to build profile and look for rating there

Whenever a job is posted on Upwork, Upwork broadcast it to Google jobs and searchable by anyone on the world wide web. Why? They want more people to apply so they can make more connect fees. They realized that they can only make commission once, but the more freelancer apply for a job, the more revenue they collect. They have gone way beyond greedy! Stay away! You are going to be sucked out of money and gets nothing in return!
